Although these celebrations are not as popular as they used to be they are still one of the main days in the calendars of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood of Santa Lucía.

On July 16th, the festivity of Virgin of Carmen, a nautical procession goes along the waters of Cartagena port, and on the 25th,of the same month, the day of apostle Santiago, the float of this patron saint is carried around the main streets of the neighbourhood.
